What it is
A CLI framework for the Era of Agents: nothing is inferred, everything is declared. First-class support for Go, Python, and TypeScript
It is for developers who would rather see a mistake when the CLI is declared than when someone runs it.
What it does
- Commands and command groups, with recursive nesting to arbitrary depth
- The presence declaration -- required, optional, or a default -- for every flag and positional argument
- Mandatory effect classification: every command declares
read_onlyormutating - The reserved flag quartet --
--dry-run,--approve-consequential,--quietand--verbose-- delivered on the handler context - MCP server mode -- expose commands as tools over the Model Context Protocol
--dump-schemawrites a JSON description of the full CLI structure that the three implementations byte-compare
